Job Summary We are looking for a friendly and energetic Host to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this role, you will help create a warm, inviting atmosphere by managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences in a fast-paced restaurant setting. Duties Welcome guests with a friendly attitude and assist with seating arrangements to ensure smooth flow of the dining area. Manage restaurant reservations using table management systems and coordinate waitlists efficiently. Answer phone calls professionally, providing information about wait times or reservation details while practicing good phone etiquette. Maintain organization of the front desk area and ensure all guest information is accurately recorded. Support guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously. Collaborate with the team to optimize table turnover and maximize seating capacity during busy hours. Uphold food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of guest areas. Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or food service environment preferred. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems like Micros POS is advantageous. Strong communication skills, including clear phone communication and good interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow effectively. Basic math skills for handling guest counts and managing waitlist calculations accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations is a plus. A positive attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure in a lively environment.
