Job Description

The Perch is seeking a passionate, friendly, and attentive to detail individual to join our hospitality team. The Perch is a modern American dining room, bar, and lounge located at the Hinata Resort , in Charlemont, MA., serving dinner seven (7) days a week. We are proud to be building a reputation for exceptional food, warm hospitality, and refined service in an elevated but welcoming environment, prioritizing our on-site cabin guest experience. We are first and foremost an adults-only, luxury mountainside resort. Our restaurant functions as an amenity to our guests with a reservation-only policy for local patrons, allowing us to provide slowed down, intimate dining experiences for all. Position Summary The Host serves as the first and last impression of The Perch at Hinata Retreat . This role is responsible for managing reservations and guest flow during dinner service, handling phone inquiries and ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and cared for from arrival to departure, paying exceptional attention to those staying with us onsite. This role plays a huge part in our guests experience, requiring confidence, friendliness and the willingness to go above and beyond for guests. Key Responsibilities Warmly greet and engage guests upon arrival and departure Manage reservations through Resy and optimize seating flow Coordinate with management and service staff to ensure proper pacing Communicate effectively with management, servers, and the kitchen to ensure smooth flow of service Communicate about VIP guests, special requests, and guest recovery situations effectively with the team Maintain an organized, polished, and welcoming host stand Uphold our standards and contribute to a culture of collaboration Assist with phone inquiries and guest communications regarding dining Qualifications Prior experience in restaurants preferred Knowledge of reservation systems or willingness to learn (Resy experience a plus) Professional presence, polished communication, and confident demeanor Organizational and multitasking skills Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in high-volume environments Strong team collaboration skills Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays What We Offer Opportunity to be part of a respected and growing brand A high-performing, hospitality-focused team culture Competitive pay (based on experience) Supportive leadership and growth opportunities Please submit your resume and a brief introduction outlining your experience.
