Raw Bar Host/ID Check @ Duxbury Raw Bar The Raw Bar at Island Creek Oyster Farm is all in the name. We are a raw bar overlooking scenic Duxbury Bay where guests can eat and enjoy freshly shucked oysters that are grown on site with indoor and outdoor seating. Also serving up fresh seafood, hand-rolled sushi, poke bowls, tinned fish and more. The Host position is the first impression of the Raw Bar, so energy matters. We're looking for someone personable and organized who can confidently guide guests, handle a busy waitlist, and keep the space running like a well-oiled machine. This position offers $20-$28/hr depending on experience and performance.

ROLES:

Greet guests warmly and clearly explain the Raw Bar ordering process in a concise, friendly way Verify the validity of guest identification accurately for alcohol service (TIPS Certified) Manage a high-volume waitlist (often 40+ parties) and maintain an organized waiting area of 100+ guests Communicate proactively with the team to minimize wait times and keep systems running efficiently Support a positive guest experience by staying calm under pressure and helping de-escalate issues when needed

REQUIREMENTS

Availability to work flexible shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Friendly, hospitality-driven personality with strong guest-service instincts 2+ years restaurant experience in a customer facing role TIPS trained or familiar with proper ID checking Experience using OpenTable (or similar reservation/waitlist platforms) Excellent communication skills and ability to remain composed in high-volume situations
