Duties Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel valued from the moment they arrive Manage waitlist and call ins efficiently using POS system and coordinate seating to optimize table turnover Maintain an organized waitlist using handheld tablet and communicate wait times clearly and positively to guests Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant offerings Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, ensuring excellent guest relations from the first point of contact Collaborate closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining room and waiting area Support guest needs proactively, addressing concerns with hospitality-focused solutions to enhance overall guest satisfaction Qualifications Prior experience as a Host/Host or in food service is highly preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating warmth, patience, and professionalism at all times Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Previous hotel or guest services experience is advantageous but not mandatory Knowledge of restaurant operations and serving procedures enhances your ability to succeed in this role Well-developed phone etiquette skills for managing reservations and guest inquiries over the phone This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about creating memorable dining experiences.
