This is not a passive stand-and-greet role. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of the door, keeps things organized, and helps guide the guest experience from the moment they arrive. You'll be responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, pacing seating thoughtfully, and ensuring each party is connected to the right table, server, and overall experience. What you'll do: Manage the reservation book and floor plan with confidence and awareness Greet and seat guests while maintaining pacing and service flow Call and confirm reservations, manage waitlists, and handle guest communication Support the team in keeping the space organized and running on time Assist with to-go orders as they come in Help with small administrative and organizational tasks as needed What we're looking for: Someone reliable, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone Ability to think ahead and make decisions, not just follow directions A natural sense of hospitality and awareness of guest experience Comfortable managing multiple things at once without losing composure Bonus points for: Experience managing reservations (Resy/OpenTable or similar) Canva or light design experience Social media familiarity (posting, basic content coordination) Previous restaurant or hospitality experience This role is a great fit for someone who: Has host experience but is ready to take on more responsibility Or has assistant manager instincts but prefers a more flexible, front-facing role Takes pride in being organized, proactive, and dependable We're a small, detail-driven restaurant, and this role matters.
