Important to note that we are one of the few restaurants that stay BUSY year-round! Our Lunch shifts run from (10am to about 4pm) and Dinner shifts (3:45pm to Close), this varies a bit depending on the position. We are seeking full time, year-round professionals. Oliver's & Planck's Tavern has been in business since 1983, our goal is to serve great food and drinks and provide upbeat entertainment in a relaxing and fun atmosphere to Cape Codders and visitors. Our dining room offers cozy booths and traditional Cape Cod favorites. Planck's Tavern has 30 bar seats inside, high-tops, and booths to choose from, plus 12 bar seats outside on our outdoor bar and deck, ideal for sipping one of our frozen cocktails on a sunny summer day. Our full menu is available all day and we fire up our wood-fired brick oven at 5pm for pizzas, flatbreads, and seafood.

Server Job Description:

We are looking for a competent Restaurant host/hostess to greet and seat our customers. You'll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers' experiences. Host/hostess responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, presenting menus, answering the telephone and taking to go orders. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we'd like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers. Responsibilities Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order Attend to customers upon entrance Present restaurant menus Answering telephone Take and enter to go orders into pos system Collaborate with other restaurant staff Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude Ensure all guest are enjoying their experience Skills Proven restaurant experience Hands-on experience in cashier duties Attention to cleanliness and safety Patience and customer-oriented approach Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude Responsible and trustworthy High school diploma is a plus but not required

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
