As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage guest flow will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our restaurant. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and maintain an accurate waitlist during busy periods. Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions. Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction. Monitor dining room activity to ensure efficient seating and turnover. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong guest service skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
