Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive. In this vital role, you will manage reservations, greet guests with enthusiasm, and coordinate seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service. Duties Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional greetings Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests efficiently Coordinate table assignments to optimize seating flow and minimize wait times Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and seating arrangements to enhance guest satisfaction Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting areas Support food service staff by communicating guest needs clearly and promptly using effective communication skills Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS systems Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good organizational skills with attention to detail in managing reservations and seating plans Basic math skills for handling wait times, party sizes, and table counts Effective communication skills, including phone communication and guest interactions Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices is a plus Join us as a Host/Hostess and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences!
