Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive. In this dynamic role, you will manage restaurant reservations, greet guests with enthusiasm, and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently. Your friendly demeanor and organizational skills will ensure smooth guest flow and uphold our high standards of customer service. Duties Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in guest seating to optimize table utilization Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely seating and guest flow management Answer phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting areas Use restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to track reservations and seating assignments Assist in handling guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback to enhance guest relations Qualifications Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for customer service is essential Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally both in person and over the phone Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs efficiently Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and billing procedures Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is a plus Ability to remain energetic, positive, and attentive during busy service hours Previous hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory Join us as a Host/Hostess and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
