Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest relations, possess excellent communication skills, and preferably have experience in food service and hospitality, but no experience is necessary. This role involves managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring a smooth flow of seating and guest experience in a fast-paced environment. A strong focus on customer service, phone etiquette, and guest satisfaction is essential to success in this position. You will also be responsible for handling all takeout orders. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently Handle reservations and waitlist management using POS systems such as Toast Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and ensuring their needs are met promptly Maintain a clean and organized host stand area Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate seating and service flow Manage guest flow during busy periods while maintaining a friendly demeanor Assist with guest inquiries and orders over the phone and provide accurate information about the restaurant's offerings and policies Support overall guest relations efforts to ensure a positive dining experience Requirements Prior experience as a Host/Hostess or in food service/hospitality is preferred Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Toast is a plus Knowledge of guest services, guest relations, and hospitality standards Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and friendly attitude Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Previous hotel or restaurant experience is advantageous but not required
