Responsibilities Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating to optimize table utilization and reduce wait times Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and efficient service flow Answer phone inquiries with clear communication, providing accurate wait times, reservation details, and general information about the restaurant Maintain organized waiting lists and seating charts using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Uphold food safety standards by managing guest flow responsibly and adhering to hygiene protocols Assist with guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns politely, and ensuring overall satisfaction Qualifications Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with guest services and reservation management Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities Experience with restaurant reservation management software (e.g., Aloha POS, Micros POS) is highly desirable Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and table counts accurately Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to support a safe dining environment Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently A positive attitude combined with strong interpersonal skills to foster guest loyalty and teamwork This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
