Job Description

This role is for the 2026/2027 Ski Season. Interviews will begin mid-late summer. This has a tentative start date around the first week in December. The role of Front of House Support Staff encompasses front-of-house duties in the restaurant and Café and can pivot from task to task or station to station, as needed. Common roles include Host, Busser, and Cashier. This is a great opportunity to experience different roles in the food and beverage industry. Saddleback's food and beverage team delivers top-notch customer service to our guests! Our front-of-house staff is friendly, professional, outgoing, and customer-oriented, so bring your best smile and a positive attitude. The Support Staff job is a front-of-the-house, directly guest-facing, hands-on position. Hosts, bussers, and cashiers meet and greet guests and provide them with top-notch customer service from start to finish of the guest experience. Duties include, but are not limited to: Greet patrons as they arrive and guide them to their tables. Maintain an upbeat attitude all day. Learn daily specials to convey them to patrons. Quickly assigns a wait staff to patrons after they have been seated. Maintain and consult a seating chart. • Field customer complaints and inquiries. Perform opening and closing duties. Take To-Go orders and give them to the kitchen. Offer timely assistance to customers to ensure that all present needs are met such as necessary utensils, drinks, napkins, etc. Take orders from the kitchen to customers, ensuring that all food is delivered to the correct table and that the food is prepared correctly. Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process. Collect plates and clear the table as customers finish their meals. Ensure that patrons receive their bills in a timely manner and that all orders are properly listed and priced. Process payments, operate the POS register, and return receipts to customers. Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments. Handle cash, credit cards, and other methods of payment. Balance cash drawers and make daily deposits.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Greet and establish rapport with patrons using interpersonal communication skills. Use seating chart forms to keep track of available and occupied tables. Professional, attentive, and detail orientated. General math and computer skills. Work well in a team. Able to handle and deal with cash. Great communication skills with customers. Positive attitude and desire to help customers.
