Duties Greet guests with a friendly smile and positive attitude upon arrival, making them feel immediately welcomed. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize guest flow. Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information and assisting with reservations or special requests. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow. Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area, ensuring a tidy appearance at all times. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or special needs with courteous communication and prompt resolution. Assist in managing waitlists and communicate wait times effectively to enhance guest satisfaction. Qualifications Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette. Familiarity with restaurant POS systems Experience in hospitality or hotel guest services is a plus, demonstrating adaptability across customer-facing roles. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and guest relations best practices is advantageous.
