Responsibilities Welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing excellent guest relations from arrival to departure Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests efficiently using restaurant table management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Coordinate seating arrangements, monitor wait times, and communicate effectively with the service team to optimize table turnover Answer phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, handle reservation requests, and provide accurate information about wait times or menu options Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring all materials are stocked and presentable Assist in managing guest flow during busy periods by coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service Follow food safety standards and uphold hospitality best practices to deliver exceptional guest experiences Qualifications Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant operations and guest services Strong communication skills, including clear phone communication and positive interpersonal interactions Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and customer transactions Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs simultaneously Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and positive attitude Join our team as a Host/Hostess where your vibrant personality and dedication will help create memorable dining experiences.
