Eligible Employer for Public Student Loan Forgiveness as a U.S. federal, state, local or tribal government Under the supervision of the SECR Food & Beverage Supervisor, welcome and seat guests in a timely, professional and courteous fashion to their area of choice in our restaurants.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet guests, escort them to tables and provide menus. Remain aware of activities of dining room to provide fast and courteous service to our guests. Schedule dining reservations. Maintain and update seating charts; maintain wait list. Provide water to guests as needed. Roll silverware. Answer basic questions guests may have about our menus. Assist in restocking mints, knives, toothpicks, and napkins. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of restaurant and work area. Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority. Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times. Contact with Food & Beverage management and associates to ensure an enjoyable experience for our guests and to represent the organization well through professionalism and service excellence. Contact with guests to ensure accommodations are fulfilled.Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Six months food or hosting experience and/or the ability to successfully pass in-house training. Must be able to pass background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
Native American preference shall apply to all positions.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of restaurant operations and food service principles. Knowledge of basic math and arithmetic. Skills in providing excellent guest service. Ability to create a friendly atmosphere and demonstrate excellent guest service. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds. Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to work well with others. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and graveyard shifts. Ability to work in stressful situations.Physical Demands:
Frequent walking and use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with serving water, menus and other items. Stand for prolonged periods of time. Stoop, bend, kneel or crouch. Normal auditory, visual acuity, and verbal communication skills. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.Work Environment:
Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino and constant machine and crowd noise.
