Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Restaurant Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this vital role, you will create a warm and inviting atmosphere by managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements. - Company Paid Duties Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor upon arrival, providing excellent guest relations from the moment they walk in Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems, ensuring accurate booking and seating arrangements Coordinate with the dining team to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and provide information about the restaurant's offerings Maintain organized waitlists and seating charts, adjusting as needed to accommodate walk-in guests and reservations Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness of the host stand area and adhering to hygiene protocols Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth guest flow and timely seating Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant operations Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette and customer service abilities Experience in restaurant reservation management systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Silverware and Open Table.
