Duties Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently using Opentable software Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service to set a positive tone for their dining experience. Answer phone calls promptly, professionally, and with excellent phone etiquette to handle reservation inquiries, waitlist updates, and general questions. Maintain organized guest lists and waiting lists, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely seating of guests. Communicate effectively with the dining team regarding guest needs, special requests, or seating adjustments to optimize flow and guest satisfaction. Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns politely and escalating issues appropriately to management when necessary. Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host station area, supporting overall restaurant hygiene practices. Experience Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally via phone and in person. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently. Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and table counts accurately. Experience in food service or hospitality roles that emphasize guest relations and positive interactions is beneficial. Knowledge of food safety protocols and restaurant operations will support your success in this role.
