Donovan Manor is one of the Raleigh area's premier wedding venues, and we're looking for Venue Hosts to join our event team. You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the Triangle's most elevated weddings and private events while learning firsthand what it takes to deliver an exceptional luxury guest experience. This is an active, hands-on role for someone who notices the details, genuinely enjoys taking care of people, and gets satisfaction from making everything feel effortless for the guest, even when there's a lot happening behind the scenes. Responsibilities include:

Warmly welcome guests and assist with arrival and directional needs Prepare ceremony and event spaces before guests arrive Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of guest-facing spaces throughout the event Monitor restrooms, dressing suites, lounges, entryways, and other venue areas Assist with signage, candles, lighting, room transitions, and event setup details Anticipate guest and team needs and respond quickly when something needs attention Support catering and bar teams with bussing, glassware, restocking, and other event needs Help facilitate transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception Assist with moving and resetting tables, chairs, and venue furniture Help maintain and protect the venue throughout the event Assist with end-of-night breakdown, organization, cleaning, and property reset Complete closing procedures alongside the Venue Lead This is a hands-on hospitality position. On any given evening, you might welcome guests as they arrive, straighten a ceremony space, polish a mirror before cocktail hour, assist with a room flip, restock glassware, move tables and chairs, remove trash, or complete a final property check at midnight. Who We're Looking For We're looking for people who are: Genuinely interested in luxury weddings, events, and high-end hospitality Warm, polished, and comfortable interacting with guests Highly observant and naturally attentive to details Proactive and able to recognize what needs to be done without always being asked Calm, gracious, and solution-oriented when plans change Professional in both appearance and communication Dependable, punctual, and ready to work as part of a team Comfortable receiving feedback and following detailed venue standards Willing to jump in wherever needed to create an exceptional event Proud of keeping beautiful spaces looking beautiful Previous experience in luxury hospitality, weddings, events, fine dining, hotels, country clubs, catering, or guest services is a plus, but we're also interested in candidates with the right hospitality mindset and a desire to learn. Schedule & Requirements This is a part-time, event-based position at Donovan Manor in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Events are generally held Thursday through Monday evenings Typical Venue Host shift: 2:30 PM-12:00 AM Evening and weekend availability is essential Event schedules vary based on our wedding and private event calendar Must have reliable transportation to and from Donovan Manor Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods Must be able to bend, reach, carry supplies, and assist with moving event furniture and equipment Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions What Luxury Hospitality Means to Us At Donovan Manor, luxury isn't simply how a space looks. $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

This is a hands-on hospitality role that includes guest interaction (smile!) as well as event setup and breakdown, bussing glassware, maintaining restrooms and guest spaces, removing trash, and assisting with light event resets throughout the evening.
