This position will function primarily as a Host, serving as one of the first points of contact for our guests and helping set the tone for their dining experience. Because teamwork is an important part of our service, this role may also assist as a food runner or busser depending on the needs of the restaurant. The ideal candidate is welcoming, organized, attentive, and comfortable moving between responsibilities to help ensure smooth and polished service throughout the dining room. Duties & Responsibilities Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival and provide a professional, hospitable first impression Manage the host stand, guest waitlist, reservations, and dining room seating according to established procedures Answer restaurant phone calls and assist guests with basic questions regarding reservations, hours, menus, and restaurant information Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, managers, and other team members regarding seating and guest needs Monitor table availability and assist in maintaining an organized and efficient flow of service throughout the dining room Assist with resetting and preparing tables to ensure they are clean, properly set, and ready for arriving guests Run food from the kitchen to guest tables when needed, ensuring dishes are delivered promptly and accurately Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, refilling water, and maintaining the overall appearance of the dining room Help maintain clean and organized guest areas, including the entrance, host stand, dining room, and other front-of-house spaces Assist guests and team members as needed while maintaining a professional and positive attitude Follow all restaurant service standards, sanitation procedures, and food safety guidelines Perform additional front-of-house duties as assigned by management based on business and service needs Experience & Qualifications Previous restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or hosting experience is preferred but not required Friendly, polished, and professional demeanor Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain organized and composed in a busy restaurant environment Comfortable interacting with guests in person and over the phone Ability to work effectively as part of a team and assist in different front-of-house positions when needed Dependable, punctual, and willing to take initiative Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry plates, trays, or bus tubs as required Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on restaurant needs What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who understands that great hospitality begins the moment a guest walks through the door.
