Key Responsibilities Welcome every guest with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. Manage reservations using the restaurant's reservation platform. Coordinate seating arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction and dining room efficiency. Communicate wait times accurately and manage guest expectations. Escort guests to their tables and present menus when appropriate. Maintain constant communication with management, servers, and support staff regarding table status and guest needs. Answer phones, respond to reservation inquiries, and assist guests with special requests. Maintain a clean, organized, and elegant host stand and entrance area. Recognize VIPs, returning guests, and special occasions to help create personalized experiences. Assist with coat check, gift card sales, or other guest services as needed. Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return. Qualifications Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, ideally in upscale or fine dining. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to remain calm and courteous during busy service periods. Experience with reservation systems such as OpenTable, Resy, or Toast is a plus. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
