Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will greet guests with enthusiasm and coordinate seating arrangements to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations. Your friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and organizational abilities will help foster a warm atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction and loyalty. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest flow Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow Monitor wait times and inform guests accurately about their seating status Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host station area Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously Experience Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or food service environment preferred Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS highly desirable Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and guest counts Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables and reservations efficiently Knowledge of food safety practices within hospitality settings preferred Experience in hospitality or guest services roles that involve guest relations and problem resolution is advantageous
