In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth seating and reservation management. Your excellent customer service skills and ability to handle restaurant systems efficiently will contribute to a positive dining experience for all patrons. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage guest check-in procedures. Use POS systems and restaurant table management software to assign tables, monitor wait times, and update reservations. Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about the restaurant, reservations, and wait times. Manage seating arrangements to optimize restaurant flow while accommodating special requests when possible. Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station. Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction. Handle basic math calculations accurately for managing reservations and guest counts. Uphold high standards of customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously. Qualifications Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant table management software is highly desirable. Excellent phone communication skills for handling reservations and guest inquiries. Ability to perform basic math accurately in fast-paced environments.
