Duties Greet guests warmly as they arrive, creating a friendly first impression. Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS. Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction. Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times or reservations while practicing good phone etiquette. Assist guests with inquiries about menu options, special events, or restaurant policies. Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests. Support the front-of-house team by ensuring smooth guest flow and handling any seating or reservation issues promptly. Requirements Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette. Basic math skills for handling reservations and managing seating arrangements accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices. Ability to stay organized and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
