Duties Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and assist them with seating arrangements. Manage the restaurant's reservation system, ensuring efficient seating and waitlist management. Communicate effectively with guests to provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies. Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems to assist with order entry and guest inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, including menus and waiting areas. Help coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service for guests. Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about reservations and wait times. Assist in managing guest flow during busy periods to enhance overall customer satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus. Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage positively with guests. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends as needed.
