Job Description
Host/Hostess — Maple House Maple House is an upscale, fast-paced breakfast and lunch restaurant known for warm hospitality, beautiful food, specialty coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Host/Hostess to create an excellent first and last impression for every guest. Responsibilities Warmly greet every guest as they enter. Manage the seating chart, reservations, and waitlist. Quote accurate wait times and keep waiting guests informed. Seat guests promptly while rotating tables fairly among servers. Answer the telephone professionally and assist with basic questions. Keep the entrance, host stand, menus, and waiting area clean and organized. Monitor tables and communicate with servers, bussers, and management. Help reset tables, organize menus, and support the dining room when needed. Assist guests with takeout order pickup and direct them to the correct area. Thank every guest as they leave and invite them to return. Communicate guest concerns to a manager immediately. Follow all Maple House service, appearance, attendance, and safety standards. Qualifications Friendly, confident, and professional. Able to remain calm and pleasant during busy brunch service. Strong communication and organizational skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Comfortable standing and walking throughout the shift. Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is helpful but not required. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
