In this vital role, you will act as the bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring that food reaches guests promptly and accurately. Responsibilities Safely carry out prepared food orders from the kitchen to dining areas or carryout counters, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained. Assist in organizing and expediting food during busy service times to promote efficient delivery and minimize wait times. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to confirm order details, special requests, and timing for optimal service flow. Handle guest requests courteously, providing excellent customer service whether in dine-in or carryout settings. Support food safety protocols by maintaining cleanliness and proper handling of food items during transportation. Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold a welcoming environment. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing carryout orders accurately and efficiently. Skills Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests. Familiarity with restaurant technology including POS systems like Aloha POS Experience with food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations is a plus. Ability to multitask efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of hospitality principles, including guest services and customer satisfaction strategies.
