Job Description
Part-Time Event Support Tumbleroot Agua Fria is looking for a friendly, dependable, and service-minded person to help support busy events, live music nights, and other high-traffic evenings. This is a guest-facing hospitality and event support position. Event support helps create a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for customers, musicians, promoters, bartenders, and management. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, comfortable talking with guests, and able to help solve small problems before they become larger ones. Most shifts are Friday and Saturday evenings, with additional opportunities on weeknights depending on the event schedule. This is a part-time, as-needed position. Core hours are generally Friday and Saturday from approximately 6 p.m. to midnight or later, with additional shifts available depending on the event calendar. About the Role The Floor Liaison supports management and the bar team during events by helping with guest flow, customer questions, ID checks, floor presence, light cleanup, and communication between staff. This person should be visible, approachable, and helpful throughout the event. The ideal candidate will have an interest in live music and some experience in hospitality, food and beverage, events, restaurants, bars, music venues, clubs, or similar environments. A New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit is required.
Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Greeting guests and helping create a welcoming first impression. Checking identification when needed to confirm guests are of legal age to purchase alcohol. Supporting alcohol service policies by communicating with bartenders or management if a guest may be intoxicated or should not be served. Maintaining a friendly, visible presence on the floor during events so guests, musicians, promoters, and staff know who to go to with questions. Answering customer questions about events, entry, seating, restrooms, food, drink options, and venue policies. Helping management, bartenders, musicians, and promoters troubleshoot day-of event needs. Communicating clearly with the bar team and management to help the event run smoothly. Responding calmly and professionally to customer concerns, complaints, or tense situations. Helping de-escalate conflicts through respectful communication and good judgment. Supporting the cleanliness and comfort of the guest area by removing trash, wiping tables, bussing glasses or cups, and cleaning spills as needed. Helping maintain a positive, safe, and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests. Qualifications A strong candidate will be: Friendly, calm, and professional with guests and coworkers. Comfortable working in a busy live music or bar environment. Confident checking IDs and communicating age requirements. Able to stay aware of the room and notice when guests or staff may need support. Able to communicate clearly with bartenders, managers, musicians, promoters, and customers. Comfortable standing and moving around for most of the shift. Able to use good judgment and stay calm during stressful moments. Interested in live music, hospitality, and creating a positive guest experience.
