Job Description

Description:
Pioneer Crossing Casino in Dayton, Nevada is looking for a Host/Cashier! The Host/Cashier greets and seats guests in the restaurant and cashes out customers at the register. Responsible for inputting and delivering to-go orders to guests, answering phone calls in the restaurant, and assisting the food servers as needed.
Qualifications:
Must be professional and friendly and be able to get along with coworkers and work as a team. Minimum of six months previous cash-handling and customer service experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not a requirement.
Requirements:
Essential Job Functions:
Excellent customer service skills required. Assist Food Servers with drink orders and delivery. Ensures that the restaurant maintains excellent service standards in order to meet and exceed guest expectations. Assist with clearing of tables and wiping down tables. Prepare tables for guests. Cleans menus and condiments; ensures condiments are full and in good condition. Assist all Front of House employees as needed. Quickly and accurately complete sales at the register. Adheres to all departmental, health, and safety standards. Follows all cash handling procedures, including proper drawer closing. Inputs to-go orders and prepare orders for delivery to the guests. Answers the phone and transfer calls if needed. Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment. Familiar and proficient in the use of a Point-of-Sale register. Completes cleaning tasks as directed including (but not limited to) sweeping, mopping, and wiping down restaurant surfaces. Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment and ADA Requirements:
Must be able to stand for entire shift. Must be able to work in an environment that may be smokey and has loud background noise. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, twist, crouch, squat, lift. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.

ServeSafe Certification (preferred but not required).
