Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently using restaurant table management systems Coordinate reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times and reservations while practicing excellent phone etiquette Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas adhere to food safety standards Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries, special requests, or concerns promptly and courteously Support restaurant staff by communicating guest needs clearly and managing seating flow seamlessly Utilize POS systems to update reservation statuses and assist with guest check-ins if needed Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles with strong customer service skills Knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction with guests and team members Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and billing support when necessary Familiarity with food safety standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff Hospitality-oriented mindset focused on creating positive guest experiences and building guest relations
