Full Job Description Description:
State Fire is a trusted name in fire protection, keeping businesses and people safe across multiple states. We install and service fire alarms, suppression systems, security solutions, and more. Right now, we're looking for a Fire Extinguisher/Hood Suppression Technician to join our team. Eventually, this position will cross-train into other areas of fire protection (sprinkler systems, etc.). Experience is great, but not required—we provide full training. If you're willing to learn, we're willing to teach! What You'll Do Inspect, service, and repair commercial kitchen fire suppression systems. Perform annual testing and maintenance of fire extinguishers. Inspect and maintain emergency and exit lighting. Complete inspection reports and daily paperwork using a company-provided iPad. Service existing clientele and build new relationships to grow the customer base.
Requirements:
What You Need Ability to use hand and power tools. Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently. Strong communication skills in English—both written and verbal. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug test. Willingness to work occasional overtime and travel overnight when needed. Physical Requirements Work on ladders, scaffolding, and stairs. Lift and carry up to 70 lbs. without assistance. Work indoors and outdoors in various conditions.
