Host Position Summary The Host is the first and last point of contact for guests at Dear Dad and plays an essential role in creating a warm, polished dining experience. This position manages reservations, seating, and guest flow while providing genuine hospitality from arrival through departure. A successful Host is welcoming, organized, composed, and attentive, helping set the tone for the elevated yet approachable hospitality that defines Dear Dad. Essential Responsibilities Guest Experience Warmly greet and welcome every guest upon arrival. Manage reservations, walk-ins, wait times, and special guest requests. Escort guests to their tables and provide a polished introduction to their dining experience. Thank guests as they depart and assist with any final needs. Recognize returning guests and help create a personalized experience. Reservations & Dining Room Manage the reservation system and maintain accurate guest information. Coordinate seating and table rotation to support smooth, efficient service. Communicate with Servers and leadership regarding table status, pacing, and guest needs. Maintain an organized and polished host stand and entrance. Answer restaurant phone calls and assist with guest inquiries. Teamwork & Standards Communicate clearly with the service and management teams throughout the shift. Complete opening and closing responsibilities. Maintain professional appearance and composure, particularly during high-volume periods. Follow all Dear Dad service and hospitality standards. Qualifications Warm, professional, and confident communication skills. Strong organization and attention to detail. Ability to remain composed and hospitable in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and demeanor. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
