Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and friendly Hostess Cashier to join our dynamic restaurant team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing reservations, seating arrangements, and cashier duties. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will ensure a smooth dining experience from the moment guests arrive until they leave satisfied. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Seat guests promptly, ensuring efficient table turnover and proper spacing according to safety standards. Handle guest inquiries via phone, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills. Manage waitlists and communicate wait times effectively to guests, maintaining a positive guest relations experience. Operate POS systems to process payments accurately, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating arrangements and ensure smooth service flow. Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant setting; food service experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and courteously. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone communication and etiquette. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash drawer operations. Organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating charts efficiently. Familiarity with food safety standards and hospitality best practices to enhance guest experiences.
