FULL-TIME HOST / HOSTESS

to join our front-of-house team. We are looking for someone who is friendly, professional, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Mandarin-speaking ability is a plus, but not required. Schedule Full-time position Must be available for both lunch and dinner shifts Shifts may begin at 11:00 AM Monday-Saturday and 1:30 PM Sunday Friday and Saturday availability is required Must be available to work year-round; this is not a summer-only position Applicants seeking only shifts beginning at 5:30 PM or later will not be a good fit for this position Responsibilities Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements Answer restaurant phone calls professionally Coordinate table rotation with servers and management Provide menus and assist guests with general questions Communicate clearly with guests, servers, bartenders, and management Help maintain an organized and presentable host station and front entrance Assist with takeout orders and other front-of-house duties as needed Help ensure smooth guest flow during busy lunch and dinner service Requirements Must be 17 years of age or older Must be punctual, dependable, and professional Strong communication and customer-service skills Comfortable working in a high-volume restaurant Must be willing to learn and work as part of a team Restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate Mandarin-speaking ability is a plus Reliable transportation is strongly preferred due to limited public transportation near the restaurant Must have reliable availability throughout the year Work Location Kashi Sushi & Steakhouse Syosset, NY 11791 In-person position only.

Pay:

$19.50 - $21.28 per hour
