Duties Manage restaurant reservation systems to optimize seating arrangements and reduce wait times using platforms such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage guest seating, and oversee waitlist procedures to ensure efficient flow. Lead and motivate the host/hostess team, providing training on phone etiquette, guest service standards, and reservation protocols. Handle all phone communication professionally, answering inquiries about reservations, wait times, and special requests with clarity and friendliness. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to manage table assignments, ensuring smooth transitions between guests. Maintain organization of the front desk area, reservation logs, and guest information while adhering to food safety standards. Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring every visitor receives exceptional service from start to finish. Inquire and build relationships with local businesses to improve our catering team. Experience Proven experience as a host or hostess in a busy restaurant environment with a strong focus on customer service. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly preferred. Previous food service experience that demonstrates understanding of hospitality standards and guest relations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during high-volume periods. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interactions with guests and team members. Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions accurately.
