Job Summary Join us as a Plant Experience Curator and Live Host, where you will ignite enthusiasm for horticulture and sustainable landscaping through engaging plant presentations, interactive tours, and lively educational sessions. This dynamic role combines hands-on plant care with captivating storytelling, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty and diversity of native plants, garden landscapes, and ecological practices. You will be the vibrant voice guiding guests through our botanical spaces, fostering a deeper appreciation for gardening, landscape maintenance, and environmental stewardship. Your passion for plants and ability to connect with diverse audiences will inspire curiosity and promote sustainable outdoor living. Responsibilities Lead engaging live tours and educational demonstrations highlighting plant identification, landscape design, and sustainable gardening techniques. Curate immersive plant experiences by selecting native plants, flowering species, and groundcover to showcase biodiversity and ecological benefits. Maintain garden areas using hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and groundskeeping equipment to ensure vibrant displays. Educate visitors on horticulture best practices including pruning, planting, pest control, pesticide management, and lawn care. Facilitate interactive activities such as climbing plant structures or hands-on planting stations to enhance visitor engagement. Communicate effectively with guests about plant care tips, landscape maintenance strategies, and environmental initiatives. Assist with grounds maintenance tasks to uphold the aesthetic quality of the botanical space while practicing safety with climbing or ground equipment. Skills Proven experience with greenhouse operations and landscape maintenance techniques. Strong knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, native plants, pest control, and growing practices. Skilled in operating groundskeeping machinery such as lawn mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, hand tools, power tools, and climbing equipment safely. Familiarity with pesticide management protocols and sustainable farming or gardening methods. Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse audiences during live presentations or educational sessions. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. Passion for gardening, landscaping, agriculture or environmental education combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills.
