Duties Greet guests warmly with enthusiasm and professionalism, creating a friendly first impression. Manage reservations and waitlists using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to organize seating efficiently. Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the restaurant's offerings. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth flow of service. Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring all guest areas are welcoming and presentable. Handle guest inquiries via phone with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times or reservations. Assist in guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring every guest feels valued and appreciated. Requirements Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management. Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Toast POS or Heartland POS is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Previous hotel or guest services experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a background in serving or hospitality enhances your candidacy.
