Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and friendly Host/Hostess to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact, ensuring smooth seating arrangements, managing reservations, and providing exceptional guest services. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort Manage restaurant reservation systems, including booking, modifying, and confirming reservations efficiently Maintain accurate restaurant table management using POS (Point of Sale) systems (Toast) along with reservation systems such as Open Table Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries Coordinate with the dining staff to ensure timely seating and guest flow while adhering to food safety standards Handle guest inquiries courteously, resolve concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations Keep the host/hostess station organized and ensure cleanliness in compliance with food safety protocols Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a similar customer service role within a restaurant environment Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction with guests and team members Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and billing procedures Familiarity with food safety standards and food service operations Organizational skills to manage reservations, guest flow, and seating charts efficiently Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred but not required Hospitality-oriented mindset focused on delivering outstanding guest experiences Join our team today and be part of an energetic environment where your hospitality skills make a difference!
