The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, manage guest flow, and ensure a positive experience for all patrons. This role requires excellent communication skills, customer service experience, and the ability to handle POS systems efficiently. A background in host or hostess roles and knowledge of food safety standards are highly valued. The Daytime Host will play a key role in maintaining a smooth operation and ensuring our guests feel comfortable and well-attended to throughout their visit. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage guest check-in procedures with professionalism and courtesy Use POS systems to process orders and payments as needed Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about the establishment and assisting with inquiries Manage guest seating arrangements to optimize flow and reduce wait times Maintain awareness of food safety standards to ensure compliance with health regulations Coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction Handle customer inquiries or concerns with a positive attitude, escalating issues when necessary Keep the host area clean, organized, and welcoming at all times Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient operation of the establishment Qualifications Previous experience as a host or hostess is preferred Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Proficiency in using POS systems for transactions and reservations Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Oregon Food Handler's Card Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance Ability to work well as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities Please apply to join us as a Daytime Host if you enjoy creating positive experiences for guests and working as a team.
