Job Description
HumanGood community is seeking a warm, service-focused Host to welcome residents, families, and guests in our senior living community. In this front-of-house role, you will greet and seat guests, manage reservations and waitlists, coordinate with servers and kitchen staff, and ensure a clean, comfortable dining environment. You'll provide friendly assistance to older adults, support special events, and respond to resident needs with patience and respect. This role is ideal for those who enjoy hospitality, teamwork, and making a meaningful impact in the daily lives of seniors. Responsibilities Greet residents, families, and guests and provide a welcoming first impression Manage seating, reservations, and waitlists to ensure smooth dining flow Escort guests to tables and provide menus or information as needed Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff on table status and special requests Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand and entrance areas Support dining room setup, breakdown, and special events Respond to resident questions and concerns with patience and professionalism Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines Required Skills Guest reception Customer service Reservation management Point-of-sale familiarity Basic food safety Sanitation practices Conflict de-escalation Clear verbal communication Multitasking Team collaboration
