Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable. Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, maintaining accurate waitlists and seating charts. Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries. Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, including menus, reservation logs, and waiting lists. Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to relay guest needs and seating updates promptly. Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns or special requests with professionalism and a positive attitude. Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess in a busy restaurant environment with strong customer service skills. Knowledge of restaurant reservation management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Experience in food service operations and familiarity with restaurant table management systems. Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and proper phone etiquette. Strong organizational skills to handle reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently. Basic math skills for managing seating times, wait estimates, and billing procedures when necessary. Understanding of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction.
