Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Sunday brunch Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive. In this vital role, you will manage restaurant reservations, greet guests with enthusiasm, and coordinate seating arrangements to ensure smooth flow and guest satisfaction. Your friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and organizational abilities will help foster a warm hospitality environment that keeps guests coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service and restaurant management skills in a dynamic setting. Duties Welcome guests promptly and courteously upon arrival, providing a friendly first impression. Coordinate guest seating by maintaining accurate waitlists and communicating wait times clearly via phone or in person. Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times and general inquiries while practicing excellent phone etiquette. Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to ensure a welcoming environment. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to facilitate smooth table turnover and guest flow. Handle guest inquiries or concerns promptly, demonstrating strong communication skills and guest relations expertise. Qualifications Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone. Excellent organizational skills to manage waitlists and seating efficiently. Basic math skills for handling tables management and guest billing processes when needed. Understanding of food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus. Pay:
$8.00 - $10.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week
