•Weekend availability a must!! SUMMARY Welcome all guests to the restaurant in a friendly and hospitable manner, exceeding guests' expectations. Greeting and seating all guests in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Maintains a positive and professional as well as genuine approach to job duties, fellow team members and the guests, recognizing the value of teamwork. Demonstrates the ability to make all guests feel welcome by greeting them with a smile in a pleasant, genuine and hospitable manner. Displays the ability to make polite conversation with guests. Exhibits a high level of professionalism, hospitality and confidence when making contact with guests. Prepares lobby and front host stands for guests' arrival, assuring it is neat and orderly. Retrieves menus from all serving stations and sets up front for guest arrivals. Displays the daily specials. Stocks placemats, toothpicks, menus and mints whenever required. Places plates and silverware on tables as needed. Answers phones in a prompt, enthusiastic and professional manner. Greets all guests with a smile. Checks seating chart first, then escorts guests to available tables in a friendly manner. Records and writes names on the waiting list. Explains menu items using suggestive selling techniques. Coordinates traffic flow in the lounge and dinning room areas. Maintains cleanliness and neatness of the lobby, restrooms, host/hostess station and menus. Inquires about guest satisfaction upon their departure. Thanks guest for visiting, inquires into their experience, and invites guest to return again. Sells gift certificates as needed. Provide 100% guest satisfaction through exceptional service. Responsible for collecting all funds for carryout orders and gift certificate sales. Safe and careful handling of cash, gift certificates, and charge receipts. Abides by the restaurants standards, policies, procedures, and safety rules at all times. Reports to work on time, well groomed and properly attired. Conducts self in a professional and respectful manner towards guests, fellow employees and management at all times. All other duties as assigned.
