Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will manage guest seating, handle reservations, and ensure smooth communication between guests and staff. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly with a friendly and professional demeanor, establishing a welcoming atmosphere. Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accurate seating arrangements. Coordinate guest seating plans to optimize table utilization while accommodating special requests and preferences. Answer phone inquiries with clear communication, providing information about wait times, menu options, or reservation details. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area to uphold high standards of hospitality. Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service flow. Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly with professionalism, aiming to resolve issues and enhance guest satisfaction. Skills Proven experience as a Host or in a similar host/hostess role within food service or restaurant environments. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; hotel experience is a plus. Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest relations, and hospitality standards. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in food service, serving, or guest services roles is highly desirable.
