Rusty Rail Brewing Company is seeking a friendly, energetic, and guest-focused Host to join our team. As the first and last impression of our restaurant, the Host plays a vital role in creating an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate is welcoming, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding customer service. Job Responsibilities Warmly greet guests upon arrival and provide a positive first impression of Rusty Rail Brewing Company. Manage guest seating while maintaining an efficient flow of service throughout the restaurant. Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with questions regarding reservations, wait times, hours of operation, and general inquiries. Take, confirm, and manage reservations accurately. Maintain and update waitlists while communicating estimated wait times to guests. Coordinate seating accommodations and communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff. Ensure the host stand, entrance, and lobby areas remain clean, organized, and welcoming. Assist in delivering an exceptional guest experience by addressing concerns professionally and escalating issues when needed. Support restaurant operations and team members as needed to ensure smooth daily service. Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Customer service or restaurant experience preferred, but not required. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Availability Requirements Weekday evening availability is required. Weekend availability is preferred. Ability to work holidays and special events as business needs require. Additional hours and shifts may become available based on seasonal demand and business needs. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts. Ability to frequently move throughout the restaurant to seat guests and communicate with team members. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions as needed. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes crowded restaurant environment. Ability to maintain professional appearance and customer service standards throughout the shift.
