Job Description
Heart of the House Hospitality is looking for a fluent Italian-English interpreter to support a corporate client event in downtown Philadelphia. This is a guest-facing role for someone who is equally comfortable interpreting a live speech and chatting with guests. You must be fully bilingual in Italian and English and have previous interpreting experience. What You'll Do Provide consecutive Italian-English interpretation for a client speech of about 15 minutes Welcome guests as they arrive and keep them engaged throughout the event Help guests put on and use Oculus VR headsets Represent the client professionally from start to finish Requirements Fluent in both Italian and English, spoken and listening (required) Previous interpreting experience, ideally consecutive interpretation (required) Professional, outgoing, and comfortable working with guests Arrives on time and ready to work by 5:15 PM Comfortable learning and demonstrating basic VR equipment (training provided on site) Dress Code Black suit (jacket and trousers) White shirt Black flats
