As the first point of contact, you'll create a warm, friendly atmosphere that invites guests to enjoy their visit from the moment they arrive. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will ensure smooth seating arrangements and efficient reservation management, contributing to a lively and memorable dining environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service expertise while working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant Manage restaurant reservations using our reservation management system OpenTable Organize and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests Support the FOH staff in general from the host position Experience Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest interactions confidently Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as OpenTable and SpotOn POS is advantageous Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently Effective communication skills for engaging with guests, team members, and phone inquiries Basic math skills for managing reservations, wait times, and table counts accurately Knowledge of hospitality principles, guest relations, and food safety standards is a plus This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to deliver outstanding guest experiences while honing their hospitality skills.
