Role:
We're looking for a friendly, organized, and guest-focused Host to join our team at Sakonnet Vineyard. As the first point of contact for our guests, you'll help create a warm and memorable experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of our front-of-house team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and loves working with people.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome and greet guests upon arrival Manage guest seating and reservations Answer incoming phone calls and check voicemail messages Assist guests with questions about the vineyard, wines, and Wine Club Process retail wine and merchandise sales Create and manage reservations through our reservation system Assist servers with food running, clearing tables, and other front-of-house duties as needed Support the front-of-house team with opening, closing, and daily operational tasks Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and retail area Deliver exceptional customer service to every guest
What We're Looking For:
Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable using a computer, reservation software, and point-of-sale systems Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Weekend and holiday availability required Previous hospitality or customer service experience is preferred, but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
