In this pivotal role, you will oversee the guest experience from arrival to departure, ensuring seamless reservations, attentive guest relations, and efficient table management. Responsibilities Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction Greet guests warmly upon arrival, assist with seating, and provide attentive guest services throughout their visit Oversee host/hostess team, providing guidance on customer service and operational procedures Utilize restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to track reservations and seating status Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service delivery Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, using proper phone etiquette to confirm reservations or address guest questions Maintain organization of waiting lists, reservation logs, and guest preferences for efficient operations Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host station area Assist with training new team members on POS systems, reservation protocols, and customer service expectations Experience Previous host/hostess experience in a busy restaurant setting is required Strong background in food service or hospitality environments preferred Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software such as Opentable or Resy is highly desirable Demonstrated excellent communication skills and ability to handle guest relations with professionalism and warmth Basic math skills for managing reservations, wait times, and billing procedures necessary Experience with POS systems including Toast preferred Proven organizational skills to manage multiple tables and reservations efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude Join us as a Matri D / Lead Hostess and be the vibrant heartbeat of our dining experience!
