Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression Manage guest seating arrangements, maintaining waitlists and coordinating table assignments with efficiency Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and swiftly Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with attention to detail and adherence to cash handling procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to ensure a welcoming environment Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest needs and special requests Uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations during all interactions Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering inquiries Experience Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting preferred Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable Experience in hotel or hospitality environments is a plus Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations enhances your ability to succeed in this role Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude Prior experience with guest relations, serving, or food service roles will support your success in creating exceptional guest experiences
