The ideal candidate will greet guests, manage seating and waitlists, assist with reservations, respond to guest requests, and coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure an organized and enjoyable dining experience. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and provide professional, attentive service. Manage guest arrivals, seating, and dining room flow efficiently. Assist with reservations, waitlists, and table assignments. Provide guests with menus and basic information about restaurant offerings. Answer questions about menu items, dining procedures, and restaurant services. Communicate guest preferences, special occasions, and requests to service staff. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to support smooth front-of-house operations. Monitor table availability and help maintain an efficient seating rotation. Assist guests with special seating requests when possible. Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable host stand and entrance area. Help prepare menus, tables, and front-of-house areas before service. Assist with clearing and resetting tables during busy service periods. Respond professionally to routine guest concerns and refer complex matters to management. Maintain accurate reservation and guest information when applicable. Follow restaurant service, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Qualifications Previous restaurant, hospitality, hosting, or customer service experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, polished, and professional presentation. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to remain calm and welcoming during busy service periods. Good attention to detail and guest needs. Ability to coordinate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Ability to stand and move for extended periods during shifts. Comfortable using reservation or POS systems after training. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
